Gentle, profound, sensitive healing
My approach
I use a combination of techniques to treat the body as a whole, uncovering and releasing fascial restrictions that impact muscles, nerves, joints, and organs. This approach follows the pace and guidance of your own nervous system, creating a state of profound relaxation that allows for deep work without force or pressure.
These techniques are effective to treat daily stresses and tensions as well as chronic patterns of pain stemming from nerve impingement, postural strain, and old injuries. The work also addresses issues in the head, neck, jaw, and abdomen, including headaches, jaw pain, brain injury, and digestive problems.
An appreciation for the interconnectedness and layering not only of the tissues in our bodies but also the way we experience the world through our bodies supports a process of transformative healing and emotional grounding.
What to expect
Each session is unique and crafted to meet you where you are and respond to what your body needs. The work is subtle and gentle yet guides your body to release stuck patterns and open to new possibilities of ease and movement. The effects of each session continue to unfold in the following days and weeks as your body integrates the treatment.

About Irene
I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2007 and have been in practice ever since. Along the way, I have sought out training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, structural integration, injury treatment, and neurofascial release. I also have a strong background in yoga and movement and an appreciation for the ways in which traumas of all kinds impact our nervous systems and our physical and emotional patterns. I am grateful for the skillful and compassionate care I have received through bodywork and hope to pass that on.
